HDR
Merge a bracket of exposures into one photograph, and export highlights that shine on screens that can show them.
Merging a bracket
Select two or more exposures of the same scene in the grid, and choose Merge… in the bar at the foot of the window. Numa lines the frames up (for a bracket shot by hand, as long as the camera only shifted) and merges them into one photograph with far more range than any one frame. It opens in the editor, where Highlights, Shadows and the tone curve bring that range into the picture; export it as you would any photograph.
HDR export
A photograph holds more light than an ordinary JPEG can show. Switch on HDR in the export dialog and Numa writes a JPEG with a gain map: it looks as usual everywhere, and on a screen that can show HDR (a recent phone, tablet or laptop) its highlights are brighter, as they were in the scene. See Export.
iPhone, iPad, Mac Merge HDR is on Linux only for now.
